Hi there! Welcome to the home page of the Frick Park Lawn Bowling Club. We are a group of bowlers who hail mostly from the Pittsburgh area, here in Southwestern Pennsylvania. In Pittsburgh, we are located at the northern edge of Frick Park, in a quiet neighborhood near Reynolds Street and Carnegie Place, off of Penn Avenue in Point Breeze. We are always interested in educating people to our game and we would love to see you come out and learn. The club is open to the public with free lessons group or indivual offered by appointment. Call Hank Luba at (412)-782-0848 if you are interested.
The only things you need to bring is a pair of (more-or-less) flat-soled shoes or sneakers, and a willingness to learn. The special balls (the bowls) used to play the game are available to be borrowed from the club, and new members normally use the club's bowls until they decide to purchase a set of their own.
We have two bowling greens , with the possibility of playing up to 14 games at once. This year as usual, we have a full schedule of leagues, tournaments and social events. There are league games on Tuesday morning at 10 AM as well as on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM. There is open bowling on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 1:00 PM, as long as there is no tournament planned for the day. Come out and learn, or just come to watch; spectators are always welcome.
This club is a member of the United States Lawn Bowls Association.
